17 months old

Mommy's a little behind with the blogging these days.  Junior is expecting a little brother in July.  He likes to touch and push on Mommy's growing belly.  He must somehow know that her belly is bigger than it should be.  He doesn't understand that there's a baby in there though.

We went to the aquarium earlier this month with Junior's cousin.  Junior seemed to enjoy himself, but he was more interested in trying to point out his cousin in the crowd than he was with looking at the fish.

At bedtime Junior has gone back to being pretty easy to put to sleep.  He was really good for a while but then suddenly complained for a couple weeks.   Then, just as suddenly, he decided going to bed was no big deal again.  It still takes both Mommy and Daddy to put his to sleep, but he's pretty cooperative.  We still go through the same bedtime routine.  After that's done, if we ask him "Do you want to go to bed?" he'll stand by the crib with his blanket and wait for Daddy to put him in the crib.  Once he's in the crib he will point to the lamp to tell you to turn it off and then point to the door to tell us to leave.  He'll start saying "bye" and "morrow" (for 'see you tomorrow') repeatedly and then demand "pbo pbo" (kisses) before we leave his room.  We attached the musical seahorse to his crib so that he can turn it on himself, so we'll hear it playing until he eventually falls asleep.
