20 Months

Junior has learned some new tricks in his old age. Now he climbs on furniture to reach high-up items, and he looks pretty stable doing it. We recently showed him Google image search, and he now he loves to look at vacuum cleaner and blueberry photos on the net. We showed him vacuums on the computer, and blueberries on the phone. I'm not sure he understands the cloud though because now he asks to see vacuums only on the computer, and the same for blueberries on the phone. Another trick he does now is construct doorways with his legos. He also knows how to eat corn straight off the cob, and watermelon wedges. These corn videos are from two months ago, but now he can get all the kernels off.

Whatever he's doing, Junior usually likes to do it himself, with no help unless he asks for help. For example, one time he was reaching for a book on the shelf, so I pulled it out for him. He was furious until I put the book back and let him pull the book out himself. He feels this way about many tasks, such as picking up his blanket and putting pillows in his crib.

In addition to new tricks, he's also gaining mass. Just this week, Junior's head and hands became noticeably wider. We think it's because he has been sticking to his rigorous strength training program. He's preparing to take care of his little brother, but we're not sure if that means "care and defending him" or "beating him up":
